The Prince Lot Hula Festival Returns to Oahu on July 20, 2013

The largest non-competitive hula event in Hawaii, the festival is held each year to honor Prince Lot Kapuaiwa who reprised this once forbidden dance.

The event will feature both ancient and modern forms, and dancers will perform on one of the few remaining “pa” (hula mounds) in Hawaii.

There is plenty of public seating, and local food and crafts will be available for purchase throughout the day. The event is free, so plan on picking up an event t-shirt to help ensure the viability of this wonderful cultural event.
