The Hawaii estate that was known in the 1980s as the home of Tom Selleck’s television character “Magnum P.I.” is on the market for $15.75 million, according to Mary Worrall, vice president of List Sotheby’s International Realty, the listing agent for the property.

The historic oceanfront home in Waimanalo along Kalanianaole Highway, which was built in 1933 and called “Pahonu,” has been owned for years by former Hawaii state Rep. Eve Glover Anderson, who is the stepdaughter of the late Barbara Cox Anthony, of the Cox Enterprises fortune.

The European-style home, which needs major repairs, includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a boat house, tennis courts, a separate bath house, according to the listing.

The estate was called “Robin’s Nest” onthe “Magnum, P.I.” series, which starred Selleck. The series was filmed in Hawaii and aired on CBS from 1980 to 1988.

The 11,054-square-foot home sits on about three acres of oceanfront land, with beach access and a turtle pond.

The property, which has a total assessed value of about $9 million, according to public records, has been on the market for about three weeks.

Yesterday, the state of Hawaii just made history and became the 16th state to grant full marriage equality to same-sex couples.

Hawaii Governor Abercrombie signed the gay marriage bill into law. Now, all couples in our state will have equal rights to marry, and equal protection under the law. This is an important step forward for Hawaii, and the LGBT community as a whole. The overwhelming support for this common-sense legislation showed our legislators that it was high time for true equality for all of our friends, family, and neighbors.

We at Hale ‘Nalo support all of the wonderful people we know who deserve nothing less than full equality.

We were outed by the big glossy travel magazine ISLANDS. We beat out our famous neighbors Kailua and Lanikai. Heck, we beat out the Bahamas, the Caribbean’s, BVIs, Puerto Rico, the rest of Hawaii. Actually, we beat out the entire world.

Fortunately for us, nothing has changed.
